Breaking Ground: Elevate Movement Collective’s Future Facility on Mountain Road

Breaking Ground: Elevate Movement Collective’s Future Facility on Mountain Road

This past weekend, I had the privilege of joining my friends and clients at Elevate Movement Collective for a groundbreaking ceremony on a piece of land they acquired on Mountain Road in Stowe.

If you know anything about big community projects, you know they don’t happen overnight. This one has been a decade-long vision, and getting to the “shovels in the ground” moment was equal parts emotional, energizing, and inspiring.

The long road to the right piece of land

Behind every “we found the perfect spot” story is usually a lot of persistence. Our search stretched across roughly a 10-mile radius and took about 18 months, with one or two opportunities that looked promising but ultimately didn’t come together. That’s real estate sometimes—timing, feasibility, and the long list of “must-haves” all have to align.

When we finally landed on this site, it checked the boxes that mattered most for Elevate’s long-term mission:

  • Close proximity to the mountain resort
  • Bonus points for connectivity to the rec path
  • Access to the Stowe Trails Partnership mountain bike trail network
  • Ability to develop a large recreational complex
  • Outdoor space for skatepark, and winter freeride park for training

It wasn’t just about finding land—it was about finding the right land for what Elevate is building.

Why this facility matters (and why it’s a big deal for Stowe)

Elevate has been steadily building something special: a multi-sport training community centered on long-term athlete development. Their future facility is planned as a 12,000 sq/ft action sports Olympic training facility—and according to Elevate, it will be the first facility of its kind in New England, with a goal to open in 2026.

The vision for the space is ambitious in the best way, including features like:

  • Trampolines (including Olympic flybeds and a super trampoline)
  • Gymnastics spring floor
  • Foam pit
  • Parkour and ninja-style training zones
  • Rock climbing and bouldering
  • Skate park elements (including a ramp into the foam pit)

It’s the kind of project that creates opportunity for kids, teens, and adults—whether you’re training seriously, building confidence, or just looking for a fun, healthy outlet.

A personal note of gratitude

I was humbled and honored to have played a minor role in this massive undertaking. Watching a dream like this move from “someday” to “it’s happening” is exactly why I love what I do.

The circle is now complete, as my own children are enrolled in Jr Acrobatics programming. Watching how the coaches work with these kids to develop skill and confidence is incredibly inspiring. I would have killed for a resource like this as a kid. Thank you coaches from the Wieler Family.

Elevate Movement Collective brings so much positive energy to our community—athletes, families, and visitors alike—and I can’t wait to see what this next chapter unlocks.
